SPORTS AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND INTRAMURAL SPORTS
As part of our core offering, we offer weekly morning physical education lessons for all age groups, with special focus on the development of core strength, shoulder strength, balance, stability and endurance to ensure ample physical development across the board.
In the afternoons, our preschool children are offered a voluntary multi-sports programe and our elementary learners are given a choice between seasonal sports including t-ball, tag rugby, cross country, hockey, cricket, netball and hiking.
OPTIONAL EXTRA MURAL PROVIDERS
The Cape Town Montessori School has partnered with several extra-mural providers who complete their sessions after school on our premises. These providers include:
TENNIS
LNTS use specialised equipment to maximise the child’s improvement. We have fun games and activities based on the fundamentals of balance, co-ordination, agility, movement, racket and ball skills.
Our coaches will collect your child from the Cape Town Montessori School, walk them across to the St Cyprian’s School for their 30-minute tennis lesson and bring them back after the lesson is done.

CLAY CREATIONS
Clay Creations offers children an excellent opportunity to explore their own creativity. Additionally, they benefit by listening to instruction, processing information received, both verbally and non-verbally and concentrating while using their fine motor skills and hand eye co-ordination. Each lesson includes various techniques, Pinch Pots, coil building (sausages) and slab work (flat pieces of clay). One project is completed each week, then dried, fired and glazed and returned in two weeks. Aged 6 and up.
ACT IT OUT
Give your child the opportunity to build confidence, enhance social skills, improve speech habits, develop creativity and release emotions in a safe environment. We do speech exercises, creative movement, dance and basic arts & crafts. We learn about poetry, story telling and acting while working with props, costumes, puppets and more.
